Farmers Insurance was seeking to differentiate its commercial auto product and provide new customers with a value-added incentive. They also wanted to learn more about the characteristics of drivers who used telematics, and to analyze whether policyholders using fleet management had better loss controls in place which could warrant a discount.
Farmers Commercial is offering new policyholders a free year of Zephyr services. Modus is providing Farmers with telematics data, including PRISM scoring, to improve their underwriting process.
In only two months, Farmers agents were trained by Modus staff, marketing collateral was created and distributed, and new Farmers’ customers received their hardware and software service. They were also appreciative of the extra care Modus’ staff took to train their agents through hosting multiple webcasts as well as providing on-demand training material, videos, and follow-up live Q&A sessions.
Farmers Commercial was extremely pleased with the velocity with which Modus could deploy a new program. Being able to meet their desire to roll out a product nationally is almost unheard of in the company.
For large commercial clients on the line, Modus staff gave white glove treatment through attending sales calls. Agents have appreciated keeping large key accounts through this support.
